Death and Dying

Normally, when a character is reduced to 0 hit points, they die. In this game, we are using the “Hovering at death’s door” system. This means that instead of dying at 0 hp, you instead fall unconscious. If you hit -10 hp, you die. If you are unconscious, you are considered to be bleeding to death. You will lose one hit point per round if you are not stabilized by a character with the healing proficiency, or healed using magic. If stabilized, you no longer lose hit points, and are out of danger of dying unless you receive further damage.
If you are healed using healing magic, any amount healed will automatically stabilize you. If you are healed above 0 hit points, you regain consciousness and are able to act.
You will remain unconscious until you are healed above 0 hit points.
